Great coffee and breakfast, dog friendly and open late

everything was alright except for the unsanitized practices people had to accommodate dog nuts over humans. We had a grown man with two "service" dogs one ON THE COUNTER where people eat and the other one in a long leash that almost tripped an old woman while the dog ate left overs three tables over

I also appreciated the dog-friendly policy but that's definitely a personal preference and isn't right for everyone

This place has a warm atmosphere that's very local-centric (and dog friendly) and welcoming to NOLA visitors

There are always a few gutter punks hanging out outside with their dogs

Lots of people bring their dogs there and sit outside or at a table in the window, very cute

The building is dirty and chaotic with people and dogs everywhere, but when I took my first sip I was a happy customer

We lingered in the artsy ambience for nearly an hour: some patrons worked at laptops, painted and sketched, while others just relaxed with cookies or got friendly with a customer's dog outside

It is also worth noting that Cafe Envie is pet friendly inside and out -- several guests have come in with dogs, so that might be a consideration if you're taking your pooch for a walk
